I suggest keeping your dough as thick as possible. I love a thick Quiche dough because it really compliments the egg. Kind of like a biscuit! Yuuuummm!!! It goes so well when you put bacon in there too. It's almost like a bacon egg and cheese! If you put cheese on top!
Now the best part about Quiche is that you can virtually put anything in it! Like a lot of people are into your main Quiches and only think those can be made.
Au Contraire Mon Friar!!!! If it tastes good with egg then For Heavens Sake! Put It In There!
This recipe is for a Breakfast Quiche!!
Pie Crust Dough!
Here's everything you'll need:
1 and 1/2 cup flour (seperate the 1/2 into 2 1/4's) leave 1/4 for rolling
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 stick of unsalted butter. Cube it! Let it get soft!
4 teaspoons of cold water. Just enough to hold it together!
Makes 6!
Mix all of your dry ingredients together in one bowl.
Add your butter and water and squeeze/mix with your fingers until it all holds together. Add a little bit of flour if it begins to stick to your bowl.
Begin to flour your surface. Split your dough into 6 even little balls and begin to roll those babies out!Once rolled out flour your tin and your dough and place then inside evenly!
